SIGHS.
SIGHS.
426.7
I sometimes sigh for things gone by- Like every mortal,
I suppose- And feel regret for days long dead,
Made sweet with summer and the rose.
But sighs, I’ve found, don’t cut much ice,
Nor bring an increase in your pay- In fact they never help a bit
To bring & man three meals a day.
