“Way down East” they have the ague
Unity they, shake, shake, shake;
But here in California
We prefer an earthquake

In some Stales they have the blizards,
Cyclones disturb their rest;
But out here in San Francisco
We think a fire is best

Have you ever prayed that heaven
Might come upon the earth?
You have then come here quickly
Just you will see its birth

For sensenth the starry banner,
Inside the Golden Gate,
Will rie the City Beautiful-
Just when-us “work and wait”
