A Ploture No Artist Car Paint.
261.4

A quint New England homestead.
Where an aged couple dwelt.
Their houds bowed down in sorrow
For the one they loved so well.
She wandered from her happy home,
To go, no one knew where;
‘Twas in a fitof anger
She left the old folks there.
Her brother’s heart was broken,.
For he loved his alater so
He said, “Good-by. God bless you both:
To search for her I go.”
The old folks wait for his return:
The days count one by one.
But where they’ve lost a daughter
They have also lost a son.

Chorus-
Picture a home in New England town.
Picture the Ivy creoping around;
Picture a couple old and gray.
Waiting for ones who went away:
Picture the liappiness once there.
Picture the gloom now in the air;
Two seats at the table for those not thers.
That’s a picture no artist can paint.

Again we see that cottage,
And we breathe the country alr
We see that aged couple
Kneeling at their evening prayer.
