Grin and Bear It.
Grin and Bear It.
282.3
My Uncle Si, a strange old chap,
Would never fret or worry:
He jogged along good naturedly,
An’ didn’t rush or hurry.
Remember when I’d stub my toe
He’d say: “My boy, don’t care-it
Soon’ll get all well again-
Just grin a bit an’ bear it.
No matter what it was went wrong,
If fair or foul th’ weather,
He’d just look wise an’ smile an’ say
“It doesn’t matter whether
Clouds are bending in the sky,
An’ hiding heavens fair-it
Can’t be sunny all the while-
So grin a bit an’ bear it.”
