Where the Cotton Blossom Grew.

Picture tonight & field of snowy White.
Hear the darkies singing soft and low,
I long there to be
For some one waits for me.
Down where the cotton blossoms grow.

As I reached that dear old place
Every old familiar
Brought into my heart a throb of untold joy.
As cach darky took his stand
Then I shook each by the hand,
For I’d known them aince I’d been a little boy.
Then a weet and joyoue cry
Brought a tear drop to my eye
And I kissed m my mother as in days
Then a girlish form drow near- of old.
Twas my sweetheart, Kats, so dear,
In the home down where the cotton blossoms grow.
