While in conversation with a com-
pany of friends last evening a re-
mark was made by one of the party
to the effect that everybody
“knocking” everybody else
That the doctors “pound’t each other-by word
of mouth-and that the lawyers are
“doing” their brethren of the legal
fraternity in the same manner, and
so it’s going all alone the line-every-
body using their little hammers on
everybody else The remark set
Rounder thinking upon the subject
with the result that he has summed
up his thoughts in the following:

Put down your hammer-
Go lay it away:
It’s time you stopped that “knocking”
Do it today

Tearing down won’t build you up,
Besides, it doesn’t pay;
Try and make folks happy
You’ll ne’er regret the day

Yes, throw away that hammer- Make no delay:
Do your friends a favor- Hand them a boquet
