The Killjoy.

The Killjoy.
320.5

Although a fellow’s down and out,
Why, matters might be worse;
And he can keep up courage stout
With nothing in his purse.
A chap can be light-hearted, then,
Although he has to toll;
But life is just a desert when
A fellow has a boil.

A chap can be both bright and gay Without & friend on earth,
And though he slaves for scanty pay.
Be bubbling o’er with mirth.
As cheerful as the blithecoms wren
Senne bear this mortal coll,
But life is just a desert when
A fellow has a bolt.
