The Resurrection

The Resurrection
1807

A morning grand and glorious,
A morning all victorious;
Morning of the Resurrection,
In the beauty of perfection
When Jesus rose, renewed his breath
And broke the awful bands of Death

Lo the grand rejuvenation!
We are heirs of his salvation:
And we shall live and reign abroad
As kings and priests unto our Gods
0! Jesus rose as scripture satth
And broke the awful bands of Death

All hail to Jesus Christ, our King!
But where grim Death, is now thy stingt
Christ reigns through all eternity
O Grave, where is thy victory?
For Jesus rose and liveth yet
And broke the awful bands of Death

The Resurrection of our Lord,
For forty days, with one accord,
The people saw, and felt, and heard,
Without an unbelieving word
Thus he the Author of our falth
Has broke the awful bands of Death,

Jesus loves you O ye nations!
Even to far oft generations:
And this glorious Resurrection
Is the grandest recollection
Of all the ages, and It salth
That Jesus broke the bands of Death
