Tippity House.

Tippity House.

BABY sleeps in Tippity House,
And rocks and rocks away.
She goes to bed at eleven o’clock
To sleep for half the day.
Muvver is sitting and knitting
Funny old comfy things;
She keeps a foot on the rocker
And a cradle-croon she sings:
Honey-a-hush, honey-a-bye,
Tippity low, tippity high,
Soft and slow, sleep and grow,
Tippity high, tippity low.

R IGHT in the middle of Tippity House
Is a pillow called Sleepy-Bye:
And when Baby’s head goes down in the bed
With a winky-blinky eye,
She rocks to sleep in a second.
All rosy and warm and fair Cuddled so close and so cosy
With the tippity croony air:

Honey-a-hush, honey-a-bye,
Tippity low, tippity high,
Soft and slow, sleep and grow,
Tippity high. tippity low.

WHEN Baby sleeps in Tippity House,
It’s tippity-toe for me.
I can’t play Robinson down the hall,
Or pirates over the sea.
The house gets still and lonesome,
But Muvver is humming along,
So I tippy-toe in to listen
To the lullaby croony song:

Honey-a-hush, honey-a-bye,
Tippity low, tippity high,
Soft and slow, sleep and grow,
Tippity high, tippity low.
