Way Out In the West.
Way Out In the West.
416.6
There’s a country famed in story,
As you’ve oftentimes been en told,
‘Tis a land of mighty rivers,
Running over sands of gold.
The abode of peace and plenty.
And with quietness ‘tla blest,
But this country that’s that’s so famous
Is away out in the West.
Chorus-
Tis away out in the West.
Tis oway out in the West,
Oh, I fear he ne’er will find it,
‘Tis so far out in the West.
Once a man in Androscoggin,
Or in soms outlandish place,
With a view to find this country
To the westward set his face.
He was weary at Chicago,
But for him there was no rest,
For ’twas only there the center,
Not the fabled Golden West.
Then he crossed the rolling prairie.
Stretching onward like the sen:
“It bound to find this country.
If there’s such a one” sata he.
Then by clonged the atississippi.
Sated upon Missouri’s breast:
He explored the wilds of Kanлаб
For this country in the West.
