A WONDER.
A WONDER.

Xenophon Wiseboy’s a wonderful man,
He’s always evolving some curious plan
For freeing the world from conten-tion and strife
And scattering roses through every- one’s life.
He gets out his pen and a bottle of Inc
And settles himself to do nothing but think.
He possesses a fluent and logical style,
And, once he gets started, can write Ly the mile.
It’s clear that the publle would surely be led
By the things he has said, if they only had read
His learned remarks; but his audience is small.
They turn from his words to reports of baseball
And gossip concerning the latest di-vorce,
And jests that are flippant-some- times even coarse.
Dust covers his writings, which none care to scan.
Still, Xenophon Wiseboy’s a wonder- ful man.
