For breakfast we’ll give a mystery,
Compounded of of fragments of
Please do not be rash,
And call it plain hash; history
Or we’ll haul you before the consistory

“Here’s what we propose for your dinner,
To comfort the man that is inner:
Some bacon and taters,
Fried eggs and tomaters;
They’ll keep you from growing much thinner”

“For luncheon we serve conversation,
To assist in the assimilation,’
But if that’s not enough
This ham is not tough;
And these prunes will prove quite a creation
