Howdy, stranger? Glad ter see yo,
Yes, it looks a bit like rain;
How are crops? Well, come an’ see ‘om.
Guess I’ll haftor fust explain.

In that field where bees are buzzin’
Over all the white an’ green
Thar I’m ralsin’ devil wagons-
Can’t yo smell the gasoline?

In those neres over yonde”.
Jest behind the hick’ry knoll,
Thar I planted grand plannys-
Can’t yo hear the music roll?

See those nelds thar, near the wind-mill.
To yer left, half way about?
That’s set out in college courses-
Listen! Can’t yo hear ’em spout?

See that patch that’s lyin’ fallow?
Been unworked a year that way:
Seeded once with mortgage lifters-
Ain’t no call fes ’em today.
