TO A BOY.
TO A BOY.
458.2
My boy, when passing through this life,
Some rough old spots you’ll find;
Your troubles will at times be rife,
To you they’ll not be kind.
A friendly word, a smile that’s glad
Will be ‘ke gold to you,
And don’t forget that others, lad,
Apprecis them, too.
The sunshine in this world, my boy,
You’ll find it scarce enough;
Of course, you’ll get your share of joy,
E’en though your path be rough.
But words and smiles when you are sad
Will mean a lot to you:
So, don’t forget that others, lad,
Appreciato them, too,
